- Sometimes you had to come up here and run in the halls.

It was exciting, scary and completely free - depending on who you were with, says Crown Princess Victoria in SVT's documentary The Royal Palace.

The Crown Princess lived in the Royal Palace until she was just over four years old.

Her father King Carl XVI Gustaf spent his entire upbringing in the south wing of the castle.

"Respect for the castle"

- I was raised to have respect for the castle.

You have respect for the beautiful rooms and decor, furniture, everything.

I was never out on my own and tried to find exciting places to be in, says King Carl XVI Gustaf.

- It's big, the castle, when you're small.

Many dark, large rooms.

See more of the castle's all known and unknown places in the first episode of "The Royal Palace" which is broadcast on SVT1 on June 13 at 20:00, or watch both episodes on SVT Play already now.
