I have not grieved for years as much as I grieved for that grieving mother who slaughtered her three children in Egypt, then tried to get rid of her life. The story is painful and the message she left to her husband is more painful. The mother said in short that she could no longer bear life and what she was going through, and she felt very shortened towards her children and her husband. And she thought that she had saved them from the hardships they faced, and she wished her husband well and that he would grant him a better wife and children. About her that she is the reason and that she is failing in raising them, especially since the father works in another country, the mother saw nothing but blackness and pain, and imagined her children being taunted and bullied, and she sensed the pain and suffering they would face in life, and similar to the painful movie “Shutter Island” the mother decided to end the lives of her children.
No one knows the suffering and silent battles that the mother was going through, and no one imagines the cruelty of society, and no one imagines how much a word, a look, or a blink that may be released unintentionally, can hurt this mother.. one of the millions of people who are fighting silent battles and no one He knows about them or extends a helping hand to them, and it may sometimes be the most helpful thing for people to leave them alone without interference, sarcasm, or making matters worse.
In our Arab societies, there are fathers who suffer silently for not being able to meet the needs of their children, mothers who suffer silently because of the problems their children are going through, mothers who bear the cruelty of husbands because their children are not homeless, and students who suffer from the treatment of their professors and supervisors to the extent that a student tells that he and his colleagues pray for their supervisor in every prayer To be stubborn with them and harm their future!
I do not know why mercy has been extracted from the hearts of some, and how much sadism they practice, to the extent that they find an open wound and pour salt on it, why do some people interfere in the affairs of others, why do we not say good or remain silent!
Why do we not extend a helping hand to each other without any purpose or interest, why do we not always strive for good, for God Almighty will see this quest and reward us for it exponentially.
Our Arab societies need to change the destructive behavioral pests that eventually lead to human catastrophes. We all need to be fully aware that each of us has silent battles to fight, and we have no choice but to have mercy and respect each other and be kind to each other. The word mercy is repeated in its derivatives in the Holy Qur’an 268 Once, and in the Bible, it was repeated many times. Rather, the Bible urges mercy to the enemies. We do not need to do much or change the world. We just need to have mercy on each other so that the Lord Almighty may have mercy on us. ?
What is difficult for parents to sympathize with their children and listen to them? What is difficult for a teacher to respect his students and not force them? What is difficult for a manager to respect and appreciate his subordinates? What is difficult for us to smile and say thank you and praise others?
