The attack by armed men on Sunday on a Catholic church during mass left at least 21 dead and around 40 injured, including children, in southwestern Nigeria, causing fear in the most populous country from Africa.

Six opposition leaders in Chad, prosecuted in particular for "disturbing public order" after a demonstration peppered with incidents on May 14 against France, were found guilty during an expeditious trial boycotted by lawyers for the defense and sentenced on Monday to a suspended sentence of one year, a sentence lower than the requisitions.

In Senegal, the rejection of the list of incumbents of the opposition coalition Yewwi Askan Wi is causing trouble less than two months before the legislative elections.

The Constitutional Council also invalidated the list of substitutes for the presidential majority Benno Bokk Yakar.

This Monday we give the floor to El Malick Ndiaye, national secretary of communication of PASTEF, the party of the opponent Ousmane Sonko.

Finally, we will end this edition with gnaoui sounds, this musical art of North Africa registered since 2019 in the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Unesco.

And for that we are going to Essaouira where its famous world music festival is currently being held, an event that will travel to several Moroccan cities.
