On the 6th, the Ukrainian ambassador to Japan visited Chiba University Hospital, which accepts Ukrainian men who were seriously injured by the bombardment by the Russian army, and visited the man being treated.

Chiba University Hospital in Chiba City has been accepting Ukrainian Anton Kornishuk (37), who suffered a serious injury to his leg after being hit by a Russian mortar near the capital Kieu, and has been treating him since last month.

On the 6th, Ukrainian Ambassador to Japan Sergiy Korsunsky visited the hospital for the first time and met with Mr. Korsunishuk.

When the ambassador gave a sympathy, Mr. Kornishuk responded that he was recovering smoothly and that he would like to support the evacuees by making use of the Japanese he had learned at the university after he was discharged.

Mr. Kornishuk said, "I would like to cooperate if there is anything I can do. I want the injured people to be able to receive treatment in Japan as well."

Ambassador to Japan Korsunsky said, "I was relieved to hear that it was recovering smoothly. I am grateful to the hospital for accepting it."
