From noon on Monday and until Tuesday 7 a.m., "only adult vital emergencies" are received at the Purpan University Hospital in Toulouse.
“Patients requiring non-deferrable care will have to seek first-line doctors, private health establishments and the Samu-centre 15”, warns the management in a press release.
This complicated situation results from a “massive strike” launched at the initiative of the CGT for Monday evening.
"We salute the commitment of the medical staff, the supervisors and the volunteer caregivers who come to reinforce the teams of the hospital services and who thus make it possible to preserve the safety and quality of care at Purpan", adds the management.

Toulouse caregivers have planned to demonstrate on Tuesday, from 2 p.m., in the streets of the Pink City.
The CGT estimates that 1,500 additional caregivers should be hired at the Toulouse University Hospital.
