On the occasion of her 70th jubilee to the throne, Britain's Queen Elizabeth II once again proved her humor.

In a video released on Saturday night of the celebrations, the 96-year-old monarch can be seen in a lavish room of her palace at a table with children's book character Paddington Bear.

With tea served in fine china, Paddington pulls a jam sandwich out of his old red hat.

"I always have one with me for emergencies," says the animated bear character to the queen.

"Me too," replies Elizabeth II, pulling a jam sandwich out of her handbag with a smile.

"For later," she adds to the astonished Paddington, dropping the sandwich back into her bag.

Meanwhile, the noise of a cheering crowd in front of the palace penetrates from outside, and a palace official says to the Queen: "The celebration is about to begin, Your Majesty." Paddington Bear then takes his hat off again and wishes the Queen: "Happy Jubilee , Ma'am!" Then he adds, "And thank you.

For everything!"

The video was reportedly filmed at Windsor Castle back in March.

Few members of the royal family were privy to the surprise.

The video was part of the anniversary celebrations, which continued with a concert outside Buckingham Palace on Saturday night.

Numerous pop stars and around 22,000 spectators celebrated the Queen's 70-year reign there.

Legendary rock band Queen, featuring vocalist Adam Lambert, kicked off the party with their hits "We Will Rock You," "Don't Stop Me Now," and "We Are The Champions."

The celebrations conclude with a parade and lots of stars

The Queen herself watched the spectacle in her honor on television at Windsor Castle.

On Friday, Elizabeth II had already missed the big thanksgiving service in London's Saint Paul Cathedral because of "illness".

The 96-year-old Queen also canceled her visit to the traditional horse race in Epsom, which was planned for Saturday, for health reasons.

Nevertheless, many royal celebrities gathered in the grandstand, including heir apparent Prince Charles and his eldest son, Prince William.

However, his brother Harry and his wife Meghan, who traveled to London from the United States on the occasion of the jubilee, were not present.

Her second child Lilibet had her birthday on Saturday.

Other artists taking the stage on Saturday night include Motown legend Diana Ross, British singer Rod Stewart, US singer Alicia Keys and Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli.

The Queen's 70th Jubilee celebrations will conclude with alfresco banquets across Britain on Sunday.

Millions of guests are expected to attend the picnics organized by more than 70,000 hosts.

The high point of the day is a big parade in central London, which leads to Buckingham Palace.

Musicians, performers, dancers and actors represent the many historical changes that have taken place since Elizabeth II's accession to the throne in 1952.

At the end of the parade, the national anthem "God Save the Queen" is sung in front of the palace, led by pop star Ed Sheeran.
