And a force of detectives from the second Zagazig Police Department moved to carry out the necessary investigations and examinations, and it was found that the accused’s wife is being held in the hospital for treatment, and that her mother and some of her relatives were with her in the hospital to visit her, and during that the patient’s husband attended, and a verbal altercation occurred between him and her relatives, due to family disputes. Between him and his wife, it ended with the slaughter of his mother-in-law.

The police were able to arrest the accused and referred him to the Zagazig Criminal Court, which decided to refer the accused’s papers to the Mufti of the Republic, to consult the legal opinion of the death sentence. After the accused assaulted her, the situation developed between them, and he stabbed the victim with a white weapon that he had in his possession, as he stabbed her in the neck, which led to her inflicting a penetrating cut wound (“slaughter”), which led to her death on the spot.
