[Subtitles] Shenzhou 14 spacecraft will launch

What does this space journey do?

What changes have been made to food, accommodation and travel in space?

Take you into the space life of "God Fourteen"

[1] What is the main work of "God Fourteen"?

[Concurrent] Yang Yuguang, Vice Chairman of the International Astronautical Federation Space Transportation Committee

In a nutshell, the entire mission is to welcome Wentian, Mengtian (experimental cabin) and Tianzhou-5 cargo spacecraft, the visits and interactive docking of these three spacecraft, as well as the other two of Wentian and Mengtian experimental cabins. Inversion, and other various tests and activities and construction activities.

Then, through such a process, the basic configuration of our three-cabin space station has been completed. Therefore, our Shenzhou 14 crew must witness the visit of the two most important experimental cabins in the construction of our entire space station. At the same time, it means that it includes the installation of various equipment and the debugging of various equipment.

[2] How is the space life of the "God 14" astronauts different from before?

[Concurrent] Yang Yuguang, Vice Chairman of the International Astronautical Federation Space Transportation Committee

Our Tianhe No. 1 (core cabin) has an effective volume of 50 cubic meters of internal space, which is already like a home.

Then, after our two experimental modules Wentian and Mengtian are in orbit, the total internal volume of these three capsules can reach 110 cubic meters. In this way, our Chinese space homeland will be completely built, 110 cubic meters. The meter is more than double the size of 50 cubic meters, and it should be said that it is more spacious than before.

Regarding the issue of eating, in fact, this is also in a process of continuous improvement. In fact, their food has been very rich before, including special holiday food during the festival, and according to each crew member's own taste, Some foods specially prepared for him, etc. This time, according to the release of the Manned Space Engineering Office, there will be blind boxes of food to give everyone a surprise, which is very good.

[3] When can astronauts grow vegetables in space?

[Concurrent] Yang Yuguang, Vice Chairman of the International Astronautical Federation Space Transportation Committee

During our Tiangong-2 mission, two astronauts, Jing Haipeng and Chen Dong, had our country's first mid-orbit stay in orbit for a month. In fact, they had already planted lettuce on this Tiangong-2. , but from a safety point of view, they did not eat the grown lettuce and brought it back to Earth for researchers to study.

So if we grow vegetables, we will definitely grow them, and good vegetables must be confirmed after they are safe, so that means we can only allow astronauts to eat them.

[4] Will there be foreign astronauts after the Chinese space station is built?

[Concurrent] Yang Yuguang, Vice Chairman of the International Astronautical Federation Space Transportation Committee

There are 17 countries before, and its 9 experimental projects, most of which are joint experimental projects.

This process is developed abroad, then the equipment is shipped to China, launched into orbit by the Tianzhou cargo spacecraft, and then installed, debugged, and tested by Chinese astronauts in orbit.

The results of the final test can be downloaded by using our Tianlian satellite, or a small amount can be brought back when our Shenzhou spacecraft returns.

This is such a cooperation model at the lowest level, and everyone does not meet each other. In the future, the astronaut crew will actually visit the foreign crew, which I think is also a high probability event.

[V] This time, the "God Fourteen" is going to rendezvous with the follow-up "God fifteen" space. Why is this arrangement?

[Concurrent] Yang Yuguang, Vice Chairman of the International Astronautical Federation Space Transportation Committee

When stationed in the space station, a lot of state setting work needs to be done.

Including, for example, we need to turn on the electrolyzed water to produce oxygen, let the space station start to continuously produce oxygen, including the collection of carbon dioxide, etc., to maintain such a habitable environment, it needs to do a lot of work, and when they evacuate .

Including the transfer, packing and fixing of many materials, etc. are very particular.

This process actually takes a lot of time and a lot of work.

And more importantly, because we know that we build the space station for scientific research activities.

Maybe the scientific experiment is to cross the rotation cycle of the crew. In this case, the handover from one crew to another is the most efficient if the handover can be done face-to-face.

[6] Are the six astronauts of "God Fourteen" and "God fifteen" not crowded together?

[Concurrent] Yang Yuguang, Vice Chairman of the International Astronautical Federation Space Transportation Committee

If you have 6 people in the short term, it means that we have a double burden on our environmental control and life support systems, such as oxygen consumption, carbon dioxide removal, temperature and humidity control, etc. 6 Personally, so we are in the Wentian experimental cabin, which has an independent environmental control and life support system, as well as 3 other cabins for astronauts with privacy, which are normal for 6 people in orbit during crew rotation. Life creates a very good condition.
