The arrest of the "women's killer" in Mexico .. lured them through "Facebook"

Mexican authorities have arrested a serial killer suspected of being behind the deaths of a large number of young women, after he lured them on Facebook with fake job offers.

Mexican police officials said that they obtained video clips from surveillance cameras, which showed the accused meeting the victims in public places, and in one case a victim rode with him on his motorcycle and took her to an unknown location, to be announced later on her disappearance, according to "Sky News Arabia".

According to Deputy Public Security Minister Ricardo Mejia, the suspect is a "women's serial killer, and there are at least 7 murders in which he could be involved."

Mejia added: “The accused would sign his victims by deluding them into securing a job for them after an interview.

He was hunting women through Facebook,” the British newspaper, The Guardian, reported.

According to prosecutors in the central state of Morelos, the suspect may also be behind the murder of a 22-year-old student who was looking for work in April.

After a number of bodies were found in plastic bags, Mexican authorities intensified their investigations to place a person previously accused of rape in 2012, under surveillance.

Police arrested the suspect in the northern state of Queretaro, and charged him with the murder of seven young women.
