Before the opening of Mt. Fuji on the 1st of next month, a festival was held in Fujiyoshida City, Yamanashi Prefecture at the foot of the mountain for the first time in three years to pray for the safety of climbers.
Near the shrine in Fujiyoshida City, Yamanashi Prefecture, at the foot of Mt. Fuji, every year, people involved in "Fujiko" who worship Mt. Fuji hold a celebration on the day when the founder reached the summit of Mt. Fuji. Due to the influence of, it was canceled for two consecutive years until last year.
This is the 450th anniversary of the start of the lecture, and it will be held for the first time in three years. We prayed for the peace of the mountain and the safety of the climbers.
After that, the participants visited the main shrine built with Mt. Fuji in the background.
Fumio Shishino, President of Fujiko, said, "I prayed for the safety and peace of those who climb Mt. Fuji. I am glad that the festival was held in Fujiyoshida City for the first time in three years."
The Yamanashi side of Mt. Fuji is scheduled to open from July 1st to September 10th.
