Land grabbing, a practice reserved for countries in the South?

Not according to the investigation by Lucile Leclair who describes in a book how in France, for years, large companies have been buying thousands of hectares of land in the most total opacity.

These practices, which she describes as hold-ups, profoundly transform the agricultural landscape and impact the environment and the farmers who work the land.
