Peng Dejun, deputy director of the Ya'an Emergency Management Bureau, introduced that after the "6.1" Lushan earthquake in Ya'an City, Ya'an quickly launched the second-level emergency response to the earthquake disaster and established the "6.1" Lushan Earthquake City and County Joint Headquarters for Earthquake Relief and Disaster Relief. Set up 11 working groups for comprehensive coordination, disaster monitoring and prevention, and emergency rescue.

According to preliminary statistics, a total of 14,427 people in Ya'an City were affected by the earthquake (7,505 people in Baoxing County, 5,470 people in Lushan County, 83 people in Yucheng District, 40 people in Yingjing County, 214 people in Tianquan County, and 1,115 people in Mingshan District).
In terms of transportation, the disaster caused three county roads, Lushuang Road, Lutai Road, and Danan Road in Lushan County to break, the provincial road 431 at Yeniuwan collapsed, and a small amount of landslides in the Dayanqiang section of the county road, Baoxing County National Highway 351 Macaopo to Fengfeng About 12 kilometers of roads in the Tongzhai section were interrupted.
All passenger vehicles and rural short-distance transportation in Lushan County and Baoxing County have been suspended.
In terms of communications, 300 base stations in Ya'an City were interrupted (including 210 in Baoxing County).
In terms of power grid, 5 substations of 35 kV line lost voltage, and 21 10 kV tripped, affecting 593 districts and 31,638 users, with a loss of 54,000 kilowatts of load, concentrated in Lushan County, Baoxing County and Yucheng District.
At the same time, the earthquake damaged five hydropower stations in Lushan County, and all personnel have been evacuated.
In terms of house damage, after preliminary investigation, up to now, 135 houses in Ya'an City have been seriously damaged and 4,447 houses have been generally damaged.
In addition, the earthquake caused a blockage in the reservoir area of Huaneng Baoxing Power Station.
Affected by the earthquake, a landslide occurred opposite the power plant of Huaneng Minzhi Power Station in Baoxing County, and the water level of the river rose significantly, causing congestion.
At about 1 am on the 2nd, the choked river began to flow slowly, the water level upstream of the choked body gradually dropped, and the downstream flow gradually increased.
At present, the inbound and outbound flow at the congested body has basically maintained a balance.
In terms of rescue and rescue, the Sichuan Provincial Earthquake Relief Headquarters quickly dispatched member units of the headquarters to dispatch a working group to the earthquake area, and emergency rescue, armed police, firefighting, medical, public security, militia and other rescue forces were urgently mobilized at the provincial, municipal and county levels.
