  [Commentary] At the Dragon Boat Pond Wharf in Puxia River, Fuzhou, after Ilyas and his teammates finished the preparations, they boarded the dragon boat and started adaptive training.

Ilyas is a Kazakh who studied in Zhejiang.

Not long ago, he and more than a dozen Kazakhs working and living in China formed a dragon boat team named Treading.

This time, coming to Fuzhou to participate in the first World Dragon Boat League (Fuzhou Station) in 2022 is also the team's first show.

  [Explanation] The first World Dragon Boat League (Fuzhou Station) in 2022 will be held in Fuzhou from June 1st to 3rd. The event has set up a professional group, an Olympic dragon group, an open group, and a college group.

The competition items are 200-meter and 500-meter straight races, which will be held in the form of preliminaries and finals.

The reporter noticed that this year's dragon boat race is full of international standards, with international friends from Russia, Pakistan, Kazakhstan and other countries participating in the competition.

  On behalf of the Kazakhstan team, we came from different provinces and cities across China, because we like Chinese traditional culture, especially dragon boating. I live in Fujian and Quanzhou, so I also came to experience it.

Especially water is unfamiliar to us, we grew up riding horses, so it was interesting to experience it.

  [Explanation] Although the Kazakhstan Talang International Dragon Boat Team has not formed a team for a long time, the team members overcame difficulties and trained hard.

  When everyone got on the boat for the first time, the boat was swaying, and everyone was very afraid of the screaming over there, especially the girls, afraid of falling off.

The biggest difficulty is coordinating and cooperating with the same team. This is the hardest. (How long have we been practicing) We have been practicing for two or three days. The results are not important to us, the focus is on participation. We are here to participate and experience Take a look at dragon boat culture.

  [Commentary] In addition to the international team, the first competition is the Fuzhou Taiwan Compatriots Investment Enterprise Association Dragon Boat Team composed of Taiwan compatriots.

Huang Baiqin, a Taiwanese teacher from Fuzhou Sunshine College, is the leader of the team. He told reporters that many Taiwan compatriots have come into contact with dragon boat sports for the first time. Show off your team.

Fuzhou, where the event is held, has a dense water network, interlaced inland rivers, and developed water systems, which provide good natural conditions for the prevalence of dragon boat culture.

At present, there are nearly 10,000 dragon boats of various types in Fuzhou. Every time before and after the Dragon Boat Festival, the folk organize dragon boat races spontaneously.
