History tends to form into a loop, come back and again remind that nothing goes away forever.
That wars and blood can always return to you.
On June 1, 1996, a train with nuclear warheads arrived in Russia from Ukraine.
Thus was eliminated the world's third arsenal of nuclear weapons.
After that, no one put an equal sign between the words "nuclear threat" and "Ukraine".
This was forgotten for exactly 25 years.
They forgot until the moment when, on February 19, 2022, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky promised from the rostrum to review the non-nuclear status of Ukraine.
By this time, four nuclear power plants with 15 power units were operating in the country.
But the worst thing was that by that moment the Ukrainian elite had completely exhausted the confidence of the Russian authorities in themselves, doing things that previously seemed crazy - banning languages, killing oppositionists and, most importantly, openly preparing for an attack on the Donbass.
By that time, the collective West standing behind the back of the former actor defiantly ignored all the demands of Russia in terms of obligations in Ukraine.
The Russians were talking and shouting into the void.
They were not listened to.
In this situation, the speech of a talented comedian and mediocre politician played the role of a match thrown into a gas tank.
Later he said that they were just words.
But neither he nor his puppeteers seem to have realized that the threat of nuclear weapons was the last thing that could explode the situation.
The answer came instantly.
On February 22, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russia had heard Ukraine's statements about nuclear ambitions.
“We understand that these words were addressed primarily to us.
And I want to say that we heard them,” Putin told reporters.
On the night of February 23-24, a special operation began in Ukraine.
Russia was blamed for what was happening.
And Zelensky?
And Zelensky, having saved himself in the first months, became the main character of the worldwide series Captain Ukraine.
In which invented “Ghost” planes flew, Ukrainian children were allegedly raped, Ukrainian troops victoriously crossed the border with Russia.
Reality turned out to be tougher.
Once in a real war, Ukraine suddenly began to lose.
And then a new suspense was needed.
Still the same on stage.
Only now, President Zelensky decided not to threaten a nuclear war, but to arrange it seriously.
The show needs drama.
The West, living with Boris Johnson, who is balancing on the verge of resignation and forgetting the words and his whereabouts, the president of America, is also not opposed - he needs to somehow justify the impending elections.
Ukraine was given weapons against bad Russians - MLRS, capable of hitting the country's territory.
And, as Biden, who greeted the void, said, they even took the word from the hero of the series “Captain Ukraine” that he would not shoot at the territory of Russia.
The problem is that no one in Russia believes Zelensky.
How can you trust a man who renounced everything he said immediately after the elections, who banned his native language, who sold Ukrainian black soil to foreigners?
The West knows perfectly well that Zelensky will not abide by any rules.
And he also knows perfectly well what Russia can do in response.
Russia will not tolerate the fact that its warnings are not heeded.
In the West, as a result, there are a huge number of articles on the topic "What should we do if Putin uses nuclear weapons."
Experts argue, resent, suggest.
And let's, they write, hit the place of the shot, and let's hit Russian troops on the territory of Ukraine with non-nuclear weapons, but let's ...

Russia speaks again - the West pretends not to understand.
