The growth history of the "national treasure" in the insect world: the "sleepy" Chinese tiger swallowtail woke up

Yangzi Evening News (correspondent Wu Jiamin reporter Mei Jianming) There are many rare creatures growing in the forest of Laoshan in Nanjing.

Among them, there is a butterfly with black and yellow wings that resembles a tiger's skin pattern. The small animal called "little tiger" by butterfly friends is the "national treasure" Chinese tiger swallowtail.

A butterfly conservation volunteer in Nanjing spent nearly two months photographing the entire insect state of the Chinese tiger swallowtail with a camera lens, that is, the entire process from emergence to butterfly, egg laying, larvae and pupa. , is really rare.

According to reports, the life of the Chinese tiger swallowtail goes through four developmental stages: eclosion, egg laying, larvae and pupa.

Most of the Chinese tiger swallowtail butterflies seen in the wild are their adult butterflies.

The growth process of the Chinese tiger swallowtail generally begins in early March.

In the following year, there are about 300 days in the pupal stage.

Being so greedy for "sleep" is a veritable lazy "tiger" bug.

Mr. Wu, a nature photographer in Nanjing, told reporters that the Chinese tiger swallowtail is a unique wild butterfly in my country and a second-class national protected animal. "national treasure".
