At 17:00 on June 1, an earthquake of magnitude 6.1 occurred in Lushan County, Ya'an City, Sichuan Province (30.37 degrees north latitude, 102.94 degrees east longitude), with a focal depth of 17 kilometers.
The earthquake was a strong aftershock of the Lushan magnitude 7.0 earthquake on April 20, 2013.
It is reported that 4 people were killed and 30 injured in Baoxing County, Ya'an; 11 people were injured in Lushan County.
The injured have all been sent to the hospital for treatment. One of them is in a critical condition and is not out of danger for the time being; two are seriously injured and their vital signs are stable; the remaining 38 injured are minor and not life-threatening.
At present, other districts and counties in Ya'an have not received reports of casualties.
It is understood that the earthquake caused some roads in Lushan County and Baoxing County to be interrupted; all passenger vehicles and rural short-distance transportation in Lushan County and Baoxing County have been suspended.
Communication power facilities in some areas were damaged, and 300 communication base stations in Ya'an City were interrupted; 5 substations on 35 kV lines lost voltage at all stations, and 21 10 kV tripped, affecting more than 31,000 users in 593 districts.
Five hydropower stations in Lushan County were damaged and all personnel were evacuated.
As of 6:00 on the 2nd, the city's houses were seriously damaged in 51 households with 135 rooms, and 1,702 households with 4,374 rooms in general damage.
After the earthquake, Ya'an City quickly mobilized more than 4,600 rescue personnel, and formed a search and rescue team to carry out pull-net inspection and search and rescue; the National Medical Rescue Team and Sichuan Orthopaedic Hospital rescue forces rushed to the disaster area to treat the injured.
The investigation and rush to connect the power, roads, communications, water supply and other important infrastructure work has been carried out simultaneously.
At present, the two rural roads of Danan Road and Lushuang Road in Lushan County have been cleared, and the blocked road from Baoxing to Wulong of Provincial Highway 432 has been cleared.
At the same time, Ya'an City organized people to escape from danger in a timely manner. On the evening of the 1st, all the people in 8 townships and towns in the area with an earthquake intensity of 7 degrees were evacuated and moved to the nearest place for escape; There are many people; tents, tent lights, moisture-proof mats, quilts and other materials have been urgently allocated to Lushan County and Baoxing County, and grain and oil, vegetables, clothes and quilts, medicines and other materials have been transferred to ensure the supply of basic living materials at the resettlement sites.
