Actor Alexei Chadov dedicated his directorial debut to Alexei Balabanov, his teacher, who opened the way for him to the world of cinema, approving him for a role in the film "War" (2002).

In an interview with Izvestia, Chadov admitted that, in a sense, he shot the tape with the help of a master - the idea came to him after the Balabanov Days retrospective, which took place in Yekaterinburg in 2019.

Seeing a keen interest in the hero of the "War" Ivan Ermakov, the filmmaker decided to write a script and "show what happened to him 20 years later."

Christina Asmus became Chadov's screen partner.

"Wolf" (Wolf)

To get used to the role, George MacKay during the lockdown practiced the movements of the animal in the park, and also learned to howl like a wolf.
