As the weather gradually gets hotter, enterprises and units are about to face the question of whether air conditioners can be turned on after resuming work and production.
On June 2, the Shanghai Municipal Environmental Remediation and Killing Work Special Class and the Municipal Aid and Health Office emphasized that due to the increased infectivity and hidden transmission of the new coronavirus Omicron variant strain, the opening and use of air-conditioning and ventilation systems must be done scientifically. Standardized disinfection work, beware of virus transmission through airflow.
According to the transmission characteristics of Omicron variant strains, Zhu Renyi, director of the Disinfection and Infection Control Section of the Infectious Disease Prevention and Control Center of the Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention, put forward the following suggestions for the opening and use of air conditioning and ventilation systems:
1. Single or split air conditioners can be turned on, and some windows can be properly opened for ventilation during use to enhance air circulation.
The filters and filters of split air conditioners should be cleaned and disinfected in a timely manner.
2. When using a centralized air-conditioning and ventilation system, the operation and management should be carried out in accordance with the requirements of the "Hygienic Specifications for the Operation and Management of Air-conditioning and Ventilation Systems in Offices and Public Places during the New Coronary Pneumonia Epidemic".
Ensure that fresh air is taken directly from the outside, and it is forbidden to take air from the machine room, corridor and ceiling; at the same time, turn off the humidification function of the air conditioning and ventilation system.
(1) When the air-conditioning ventilation system is an all-air system, it is recommended to install a high-efficiency and above-level filter device in the return air outlet (pipeline) or air-conditioning box, or install an effective disinfection device.
(2) When the air-conditioning and ventilation system is a fan coil unit plus a fresh air system, the following conditions shall be met: ensure the normal operation of the exhaust system; for large and deep rooms, measures shall be taken to ensure the ventilation of the internal area; the fresh air system should be operated throughout the day.
(3) When the air-conditioning ventilation system is a fan coil system without fresh air (similar to a family split air conditioner), doors or windows should be opened to enhance air circulation.
(4) After the operation of the air-conditioned area, ensure that the fresh air and exhaust system continue to operate for 1 hour for comprehensive ventilation.
(5) The operating air conditioning and ventilation system should clean the open cooling towers, filters, filters, purifiers, air vents, air conditioning processing units, surface coolers, heating (humidifiers), condensate pans and other equipment parts every week. , sterilize or replace.
For routine cleaning and disinfection of air conditioning and ventilation systems, 250mg/L-500mg/L chlorine (bromine) or chlorine dioxide disinfectant can be used for spraying, soaking or wiping for 10-30 minutes.
After disinfection, clean with water and dry.
If the above disinfectants are not suitable, 0.1% quaternary ammonium compounds or other disinfectants can be used.
(6) The cleaning and disinfection of the central air-conditioning system should be completed by a professional institution with cleaning and disinfection qualifications.
