The suicide of a young man sparked a wide wave of controversy and sadness on the social networking site, in Egypt, after the cause of the suicide was found to be related to extortion, as the incident brought back similar events that aroused public opinion during the past few months.

 According to details published by local media, the young man committed suicide by throwing himself from the second floor of his house in the city of Al-Qasasin, in the Ismailia governorate, after receiving threats to publish explicit pictures and videos of him on the communication sites.

 In detail, Mustafa Al-Sayyad, the father of the deceased young man, said: His son studies at the Faculty of Commerce and works as a driver on a car transporting goods, owned by his father, and someone asked him to transport a shipment of chicks from Ismailia Governorate to the city of Mansoura.

The father of the young man added to "Cairo 24" that his son, while transporting the shipment of chicks to Mansoura, was surprised that the goods had been stolen, and when he learned about this, he decided to stop the car to clear his responsibility for the theft of the goods and that he was just a driver. He informed the farm owners of the incident, but they did not believe that he was just a driver. They accused him of theft.

The father of the young man continued the details of what happened: that the owners of the farm attacked and beat him with the help of the people of Al-Manzala village in Mansoura, and they took several disturbing pictures of him, threatening to publish them on social media, and then I received a phone call from my son’s number. to save my son from them.

The father explained that the owners of the farm demanded that he pay one million pounds in order not to publish photos and videos documenting the moments of assault on his son.
