Bill Gates: A dangerous new epidemic will appear within the next 20 years

American billionaire Bill Gates, co-founder of Microsoft, revealed his vision of the next epidemic to humanity within the next twenty years.

And Gates explained, on Tuesday, that the next epidemic could be a "man-made bioterrorism weapon", or it could arise from a "virus that we already know," according to the Asharq Al-Awsat website, quoting the Spanish newspaper El Diario.

He stressed that there is a 50 percent chance of a new epidemic emerging within 20 years.

He said that this epidemic could be "a boom that occurs as a result of climate change."

Gates pointed out that countries must spend billions of dollars on searching for potential pathogens, calling for the establishment of a team of 3,000 specialists for this task.

While many media outlets expected "monkeypox" to be the next epidemic, Gates dismissed this theory, saying that he does not have enough capacity to destroy humanity, and that the possibility of the next big epidemic becoming "very small."

But he warned of the possibility of the monkeypox virus mutating to become more deadly, noting the need for governments and health authorities to take appropriate measures to prevent this from happening.

The American billionaire stressed that the Corona epidemic was not over yet, pointing out that the world “is still at risk of the emergence of a new variable that is more transmissible and more deadly than the existing ones.”

Since the coronavirus outbreak, conspiracy theories about Gates have proliferated after a 2019 interview was republished.

In it, the billionaire predicted the emergence of a deadly virus in the Chinese market, before it quickly spread to various parts of the world, which actually happened with the Corona epidemic.
