At the recent press conference of the National Health and Health Commission, Ni Xin, director of the National Children's Medical Center and director of Beijing Children's Hospital affiliated to Capital Medical University, introduced that since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the National Health and Health Commission has launched healthy children for two consecutive cycles. The action plan has comprehensively promoted the work of children's health, and greatly improved the capacity of children's health services.
In accordance with the requirements of Beijing, Beijing Children's Hospital has managed the pediatric departments of 6 general hospitals including Tiantan Hospital in the form of coordinated development, and relieved the patients in the core area to the surrounding areas.
In addition, Beijing Children's Hospital established a cross-regional specialist alliance in 2013, including 47 children's hospitals in 31 provinces, involving more than 3,000 network hospitals.
Through the sharing of "experts, medicine, teaching, research, prevention, and management", the goal of "making doctors move and patients moving" is realized.

By the end of 2020, the number of outpatient children visiting Beijing Children's Hospital in Henan Province dropped by 63.1%, and the number of inpatients dropped by 51.3%.
At present, in different parts of the country, especially in the central and western and rural areas, there are still shortcomings in the construction of the pediatric service system, children's medical care service network, talent training, and job attractiveness.
Ni Xin said that in the next step, under the unified guidance of the National Health Commission, we will increase the construction of the pediatric service system in underdeveloped areas, and build a full-cycle, all-round and warm-hearted medical and health care service for children.
