Early in the morning of the 1st, a fire broke out in Aki Ward, Hiroshima City, and two bodies were found in the burnt remains.

Police are in a hurry to confirm their identity.

After 3:00 am on the 1st, a person living nearby reported to the fire department that the house was burning in Nakanohigashi, Aki-ku, Hiroshima City.



Fifteen fire trucks came out and the fire was extinguished about two and a half hours later, but the two-story wooden house was completely burned down and two bodies were found in the burnt remains.



According to the fire department, the fire burned a part of four adjacent houses.



According to the police, a woman in her 80s lives alone in the house at the source of the fire, but she has not been contacted after the fire.



Police will continue to confirm the identity of the body and investigate the detailed cause of the fire from the morning of the 1st.



The site is a corner of a residential area about 800 meters south of Nakanohigashi Station on the JR Sanyo Main Line.
