The Loiret prefecture announced on Tuesday that several sectors of the department were facing a drought requiring the implementation of specific measures.

The local authorities mentioned, in a press release, “the flows of the rivers of the department […] below the threshold values ​​for drought management”.

They then gave a list of the areas concerned.

The limitations put in place had been described in a preventive manner in a prefectural decree of May 24, 2022 and in the drought decrees of April 6.
