The emergency department of the Troyes hospital center (Aube) is completely overcrowded.

To resolve the increasingly tense situation, an investment project of 30 million euros was presented this Friday, reports France 3 Grand Est.

Resources will be granted both to retain staff and to improve the hospital's infrastructure.

The various measures envisaged were unveiled by the director general of Champagne Sud hospitals Philippe Blua, after analyzing the remarks of an emergency monitoring committee.

Recruitment of nursing staff

Thus, a device for access to care will be set up.

This is a telephone platform intended to redirect emergency calls to general practitioners when the situation allows.

At the same time, the project provides for a reinforced reception of interns and trainees.

The recruitment of seven doctors, about twenty nurses and nursing auxiliaries as well as the creation of eight paramedical positions are also planned.

Finally, in addition to the gynecological and obstetric emergencies that have supplemented the traditional emergency department since the beginning of May, the project provides for the installation of new pediatric emergencies.
