Traditional Ukrainian bread, which was helped by a couple who evacuated from Ukraine to Aichi prefecture, was released at a store in the prefecture on the 30th.

Last month, Mr. Ruslan and Mr. Lydia, who fled from Ukraine to Japan, advised a bread manufacturing and sales company in the prefecture on the taste of their home country when developing traditional Ukrainian bread.

The finished bread was released at a store in Anjo City, Aichi Prefecture on the 30th, and both of them visited the store to check the bread lined up at the store.

There are two types of donuts on sale: black bread, which is eaten as a staple food in Ukraine, and fried donut "Ponchiki" with jam.

Mr. Ruslan said, "It is very good for Japanese people to taste our bread. I think it will be a step towards cultural exchange."

A 65-year-old man who bought the bread said, "I was wondering what the taste of Ukrainian bread was, and I picked it up with the hope that it would help me as much as possible."

Bread will be sold at 6 stores in the prefecture until the end of the year, and the profit will be used to support Ukraine.

Atsushi Kato, president of the bread manufacturing and sales company Tramscope, said, "Ukrainian bread is heavier than Japanese bread. I want you to eat bread and feel Ukraine closer." I did.
