For Letitia Wright,

Black Panther 2

is simply "an incredible tribute" to Chadwick Boseman.

Indeed, to hear the actress interviewed by

Variety

on the sidelines of the Women in Motion dinner organized by Kering during the Cannes Film Festival, the memory of the actor who died prematurely in 2020 at the age of 43 has never left the film set.

“We honored him by committing to continue the story he started and the legacy he left with the franchise.

We committed ourselves to working hard every day, no matter what circumstances we faced.

And we faced many situations, ”said the one who plays Shuri in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

A hell of a setback

The thing is, the filming of

Black Panther 2

suffered a major setback when Letitia Wright suffered an injury last summer, causing production to take several months off.

But the shooting is now over and the release of the film can take place next November.

"We moved forward as a team and we put everything into this movie, so I can't wait for you to see it" concluded the star, assuring in passing that the blockbuster will be "full to the brim with exciting things".
