China News Service, Kunming, May 27 (Reporter Hu Yuanhang) The Qiubei County Government Information Office of Yunnan Province reported on the evening of the 27th that due to the influence of the middle and low-level shear system, the county has experienced continuous heavy rainfall since the evening of May 26. The weather caused 12 townships (towns) in the county to be affected to varying degrees.

As of 18:00 on the 27th, a total of 4 people were killed and 3 people lost contact with the disaster.

  Meteorological data show that from 17:00 on May 26 to 18:00 on May 27, the cumulative rainfall in Qiubei County reached 105.5 mm, and the cumulative rainfall at individual township sites even reached 162.3 mm.

The continuous rainfall caused the water level of the Qingshuijiang Hydrological Station and Shikui River Damao Hydrological Station in the county to once rise to the peak, and the current water level has been slowly falling.

  According to preliminary statistics, the disaster caused more than 29,000 households and 139,000 people in 552 village committees, 60 village committees, 12 townships and villages in Qiubei County to be affected to varying degrees, with an estimated economic loss of more than 500 million yuan.

Among them, 110,800 mu of crops were damaged, 61,900 mu of disasters occurred, and 11,600 mu of crops failed; more than 130 roads (simple bridges) collapsed; communication and power facilities were severely damaged, and regional communication in Wenliu Township and Pingzhai Township was interrupted. A total of 572 village groups with 27,000 households and nearly 100,000 people suffered power outages in the county; more than 290 houses were damaged.

  As of 18:00 on the 27th, a total of 4 people were killed and 3 people lost contact, including: 2 people from the Dafabai Village Group of the Fabai Village Committee of Tianxing Township, 1 person from Chen Kaiyunhu of the Xiayang 5 Village Group of the Gule Village Committee, 1 person lost. In the process of rescue and rescue, one staff member lost contact and one staff member was killed, and a large shed in Wenliu Township was flooded, causing one person to lose contact.

  After the disaster, the Qiubei County Party Committee and Government quickly took effective measures to do a good job in emergency rescue work.

At present, more than 1,600 people have been transferred and resettled in the local area; the missing persons are in full search and rescue.
