An official source in the Public Prosecution in Saudi Arabia stated that the Public Prosecutor, Sheikh Saud bin Abdullah Al-Mujeb, directed the arrest of a person who assaulted a health practice while she was performing her work in a hospital in Al-Majardah Governorate, and that the investigation procedures against him should be completed in preparation for referring him to the competent court in detention.
The source stressed that these acts are among the major crimes that require arrest.
He stressed that the Public Prosecution provides criminal protection for the public servant during the exercise of his duties in accordance with its competence and the relevant regulations, and that it will not hesitate to demand aggravating and severe penalties for anyone who assaults them.

The infographic indicated that the penalty for assaulting a health practitioner verbally or physically is a crime punishable by law with imprisonment of up to 10 years and a fine of one million riyals.
