The investigation into a vast traffic of looted antiquities in the Near and Middle East is now focusing on the role of the former president and director of the Louvre, Jean-Luc Martinez, indicted for money laundering and complicity in fraud in organized band.
The pink granite stele, engraved in the name of Tutankhamun and exhibited at the Louvre in Abu Dhabi, is one of dozens of other objects from these lootings, to which another origin is given.
