About three thousand guests were on site in the purpose-built arena in east London.

Lots of celebrities sat in the audience, including Kylie Minogue, Zara Larsson and the Swedish royal couple

The opening song The Visitors was followed by a selection of Abbas' song treasure, with hits such as "Dancing Queen" and "Mamma mia", but also lesser known "Hole in my soul" and "When all is said and done".

Pikade Great Britain

During the show, snacks were delivered by the abbots - some joking and some more serious.

Benny Andersson joked that he looks young for his age - while Anni-Frid Lyngstad's talk before "Fernando" was of the more serious kind.

When the Eurovision winner "Waterloo" appeared, the abbots took the opportunity to give a boot to Great Britain - when the country's jury, as is well known, gave the song zero points in 1974.

"The winner takes it all" ended the show, then the digital versions were lowered to the stage floor - and the live versions of life appeared to the delight of the audience.
