Violent fighting in the Donbass, Zelensky accuses Russia of "genocide"

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Thursday accused Russia of practicing "genocide" in Donbass, in the east of the country.

“The current offensive by the occupiers in the Donbass could render the region uninhabited,” Zelensky said in his daily television address, accusing Russian forces of seeking to “burn down” several towns in the region.

Russia is practicing “deportation” and “mass killing of civilians” in the Donbass, he continued, according to whom “all this (…) is an obvious policy of genocide carried out by Russia”.

The costly toll for Kinder after a major health scandal

It is "the biggest product recall of the past twenty years", admits the general manager of Ferrero France, who is speaking for the first time since the start of the health scandal which is costing the manufacturer of Kinder dearly, financially and in terms of of reputation, in an interview with the daily Le Parisien on Thursday.

Since the beginning of April, more than 3,000 tonnes of Kinder products have been withdrawn from the market in France, where 81 cases of salmonellosis have been detected, mainly in children under ten years old.

The Depp v Heard lawsuit is coming to an end

The lawyers of Amber Heard and Johnny Depp present their conclusions this Friday, their last opportunity to convince the jury of an ultra-publicized trial in the United States which revealed the most scandalous details of a "toxic" relationship between the two actors.

This is the end point of six weeks of debates and dozens of hours of testimony in this trial held in Fairfax, near Washington, and broadcast live on television.

The hearing is due to start at 9 a.m. and the seven jurors will retire in the afternoon to deliberate.

If they do not agree on a verdict, they will return on Tuesday, Monday being a public holiday in the United States.
