The Iraqi artist, Kadi Al-Qaisi, denied that she had taken a picture of her with her father's body after his death, and said that the picture that spread on the media was during his illness.

Cady had been subjected to a violent attack on social networks after she posted a "selfie" picture next to her father's body, but she denied this by saying: "The first thing is the father is his father and I am free, and the second thing is the last picture of his parents before his death and he was sick."

Al-Qaisi had called her father, saying: "We belong to God and to Him we shall return. May God have mercy on you, my dear parents. You broke my back, yearning (...) Oh, Baba, you took my soul and saw you."
