It is a brand parade that is held at the Palais Galliera.

From March 5 to July 11, the fashion museum is presenting an unprecedented exhibition: “Love Brings Love”.

The death of fashion designer Alber Elbaz has aroused great emotion in the fashion world.

It is in his memory that 46 designers have created unique outfits to honor the qualities and work of the famous couturier.

An immersion in the parade

Visitors will be able to relive the parade presented on October 5, 2021, based on the theme of the love of the world of couture for this designer.

The initiative came from AZ Factory, a brand he had recently founded.

Each outfit mixes the touch of the house or the designer and the vision they had of Alber Elbaz.

Jean Paul Gauthier declared that: "A heart-shaped dress was essential as Alber had it and that he put in all his creations and his collections".

Colourful, whimsical dresses, short or with a train, visitors are offered an explosion of color and interplay of materials.

The different outfits are placed in exactly the same order as the parade.

On screens, visitors can observe the parade while listening to the carefully chosen music for each passage.

Versace, Comme des Garçons, Clothing, Off-White and many others line up on the “catwalk” before ending in an explosion of heart-shaped confetti.

A couturier who revolutionizes the classic

Born in Casablanca, Morocco on June 12, 1961, this Franco-Israeli-American fashion designer knew how to use his cultural wealth to revolutionize the biggest Parisian fashion houses.

He relaunched the Guy Laroche house, succeeded his idol Yves Saint Laurent and innovated as artistic director at Lanvin for 14 years.

It is alongside the greatest that he shocks and reinvents.

His motto “What's next?

Wait and see.

(And after? Wait and see), it is with this line of conduct that he will carry out his projects, and that he will become a true figure of fashion.

He has a great sensitivity towards diversity, which he has exploited in his fashion shows.

For example for the Italian house Krizia in Milan, for which he will only parade black models, a choice still unheard of at the time.

It is with these values that he founded AZ Factory, which defends “intelligent, inclusive and respectful fashion”.
