An online symposium was held on the 27th to think about improving the working environment for filmmakers and other staff, and film directors and experts exchanged opinions.

This symposium was held by the "Japanese Film Project," an organization made up of film-related people, and was attended by film director Kazuya Shiraishi and labor experts.

Among them, there are many cases where the sponsoring organization and participants work without a contract on working conditions at the movie production site, and there are few female staff and there are many cases where there is no choice but to work in the same environment as men. There was a voice pointing out such things.

Director Shiraishi introduced the harsh current situation, saying, "There are times when we don't have enough budget to make a movie and we don't know if we can shoot until just before. We can't discuss wages with each staff member."

In addition, Professor Ryo Kanbayashi of Hitotsubashi University, who specializes in labor economics, pointed out that "it is premised that there is no contract. We should make a unified contract for each occupation" and wages Regarding conditions such as, "Isn't it necessary to have a mechanism to distribute from hit titles, for example, by accumulating 1% from box office revenue and subsidizing the minimum wage?"

At the symposium, there were other opinions requesting the establishment of a staff consultation desk.
