His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, member of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and head of the Abu Dhabi Executive Office, visited the 31st Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, which will continue until the day after tomorrow at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC), organized by the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Center of the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi.

During his tour of the exhibition, His Highness inspected a number of participating pavilions, including the “Taha Hussein.. Book and Insight” pavilion, which celebrates the “Dean of Arabic Literature” as the central figure for this year’s edition, by organizing intellectual and literary seminars to study the worlds of Taha Hussein’s literature. Analyze and read his works, to highlight their importance in enriching the cultural and literary scene.

His Highness also met with a group of school students, during their participation in workshops on the importance of establishing a culture of reading.

His Highness was accompanied, during his visit to the exhibition, by the Chairman of the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi, Mohammed Khalifa Al Mubarak.

It is expected that this year's Abu Dhabi International Book Fair will attract more than 150,000 visitors, and will witness the participation of 1,130 exhibitors, representing global, regional and local publishing houses from 80 countries.

The exhibition also attracts more than 1,000 speakers from 40 countries, from around the world, to exchange ideas and discuss literary and cultural trends in a wide range of dialogue sessions, seminars, and intellectual evenings.
