The Emirates Council on Books for Young People continues its participation in the 31st edition of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, with a pavilion inspired by refugee tents, and a design that reflects the noble values ​​of the “Once Upon a Time” initiative, which is being implemented by the Council for the eighth year in a row, with the aim of collecting books issued in multiple languages ​​from the local community. And distribute it to children and adolescents in crisis areas around the world.

The council’s pavilion at the exhibition highlights the most important achievements of the “Once Upon a Time” initiative since its inception, with audio and video, through screens focusing on the groups that the initiative has succeeded in delivering books to, from the residents of refugee camps, in addition to introducing the silent books, and the council’s role in promoting them in the country The UAE and the region, and the effects of these books on stimulating knowledge and enriching educational resources, where visitors to the pavilion learn about the results of the initiative, with the possibility of donating books in the initiative’s pavilion, as the Council will distribute them later to children and adolescents, in conjunction with the World Refugee Day, which falls on June 20 of each year .

As part of its participation program in the exhibition, which will continue until tomorrow at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center, the Emirates Council on Books for Young People is organizing a number of workshops in its pavilion.
