Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress saw a special exhibition at the Tokyo National Museum, which collects cultural assets related to the former Ryukyu Kingdom to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Okinawa's return to the mainland.

This special exhibition "Ryukyu" is held at the Tokyo National Museum in Ueno, Tokyo, sponsored by NHK and other cultural assets, including national treasures such as costumes worn by the former Ryukyu Kingdom royal family and ceramics that colored Shuri Castle. Is on display.



Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress arrived at the venue after 6 pm on the 25th and thoroughly watched the exhibits for about an hour.

At the exhibition of the bell, an important cultural property, which is said to have been hung on the main hall of Shuri Castle, the curator explained that there was a scar on it during World War II, and the Empress said, "This is the wound of the war. It means that it was confirmed.
