On June 21, the France Télévisions Music Festival concert will take place on the Esplanade de l'Europe, in Antigone, in Montpellier (Hérault).

This is not the first time that it has been organized in the Hérault capital.

Already in 2014, Patrick Sébastien and Aïda Touihri set the Place de la Comédie on fire.

The concert, which should last more than three hours, as a bonus, on France 2, will be accessible free of charge, by withdrawing a digital ticket, on an online platform (which has not yet been opened).

“Without mask, without gauge, without pass”, rejoices Michaël Delafosse (PS), the mayor and president of the metropolis of Montpellier.

“40 years of hits”

The event will be hosted, live, by Garou and Laury Thilleman, and will notably welcome Bigflo and Oli, Nolween Leroy, Marc Lavoine, Kungs, Ofenbach, Claudio Capeo or Dadju.

For the 40th anniversary of the Fête de la Musique, the concert, scenographed by choreographer Kamel Ouali, will celebrate “40 years of hits”, with 112 songs, confides Alexandra Redde-Amiel, the entertainment director of France Télévisions.

There will be golds, hits of the moment "and talents of tomorrow", she explains.

Last summer, France Télévisions had already set up its cameras on the Esplanade du Peyrou, in Montpellier, for a series of concerts, broadcast on Culture Box.
