A 35-year-old representative of a group that sold horse racing "investment software" to women who met through a matching app and was increasing sales was accused by the Tokyo Regional Taxation Bureau of tax evasion of about 41 million yen in income tax.

The accusation was made by Shun Ueno (35), a horse racing investment software sales group living in Meguro-ku, Tokyo.

According to the people concerned, this group explained that there is an investment story to women in their 20s and 30s who met on the matching app, and sold investment software that automatically purchases betting tickets for the JRA = Japan Racing Association. And sales were increasing.

The price of this software was over 800,000 yen, and it was sold to more than 1,200 people.

Ueno suspects that the employee pretended to sell the software and did not file a tax return at all in order to hide the fact that he was selling it.

The Tokyo District Public Prosecutor's Office has filed a complaint with the Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office for hiding income of about 125 million yen and tax evasion of about 41 million yen for the three years up to 2018.

The funds obtained from the tax evasion were used for overseas travel, branded clothes, and watches.

In response to NHK's interview, a lawyer representing Ueno commented, "We filed an amendment under the guidance of the national tax authorities and paid the full amount."
