On May 24, local time, in Le Havre-sur-Mer, France, France returned 998 fossils to Brazil.

The fossils, some of which date back to the Cretaceous period 100 million years ago, were first unearthed in northeastern Brazil, according to Agence France-Presse.

The fossils, which had been held in a local warehouse by French customs, will be displayed at a paleontology museum in Brazil after being handed over to Brazilian authorities.
