The Audiovisual and Digital Communication Regulatory Authority (Arcom) has taken the main Internet providers to court to request the blocking of access to five pornographic sites, which are too easily consulted by minors.

But the hearing, which took place on Tuesday, fell short.

The blocking of pornographic sites by telecom operators is not for now.

Blame it on a procedural error.

The Audiovisual and Digital Communication Regulatory Authority (Arcom), which replaces the CSA, sued the main Internet providers to request the blocking of access to five pornographic sites, including the very famous and very popular Pornhub.

The objective of the procedure is to protect minors, because the five sites concerned are far too easily accessible to them.

Back to square one

Arcom had already alerted the sites Pornhub, Pornhub, XHamster, Xnxx, Xvidéos last February.

But the warning of the audiovisual policeman had not been taken into account within the legal period of 15 days.

The hearing took place on Tuesday.

But it was very short.

The president of the court indeed realized that the copies of the subpoenas had not been sent in time, and that they were therefore obsolete.

It is therefore a return to square one for Arcom, which must once again take legal action against Internet service providers.

The Regulatory Authority also targeted the YouPorn and Redtube sites last April, again because of too easy access by minors.
