As part of the "Positive Spirit" initiative of the Dubai Police General Command, in cooperation with the Navi Sports Club, 20 volunteers succeeded in climbing the summit of "Everest", the highest mountain peak in the world, with a height of 8848 meters, in support of the goals of the community sports initiative.
The Director of the General Department for Community Happiness and Chairman of the Positive Spirit Initiative Committee, Brigadier Khaled Shuhail, praised the climbers’ achievement, and their ability to achieve the goals of the initiative aimed at consolidating the values of tolerance, coexistence and dialogue among members of society, respecting and accepting others, while rejecting all forms of hatred, violence, intolerance and discrimination, in addition to spreading Sports culture, and benefiting from sports as an effective social tool to exploit leisure time for the benefit of all members of society of all groups and ages.
He pointed out that “the positive spirit initiative includes many awareness and cultural programs aimed at educating young people and small Sunni groups about the values, good morals and the authentic traditions of our society, which contribute to their upbringing in the required manner, and make them useful men for themselves, their families and their countries in the future, as well as contribute to refining their personalities and strengthening They have confidence, in addition to organizing sports competitions that bring many health and psychological benefits to members of society, and enhance social relations.”
