Patients without an attending physician can be treated by a practitioner at the Paimpol hospital (Côtes-d'Armor) since last February.

These outpatient general medicine consultations were set up to compensate for the lack of health professionals in the surrounding area.

They are organized within the hospital for patients whose state of health is not an emergency, indicates

Partner pharmacies

8% of the inhabitants of Paimpol would not have a attending physician.

The situation is due, among other things, to the retirement of a professional and the impossibility of three others to receive patients.

The system was set up with the collaboration of nine pharmacies in Ploubazlanec, Paimpol, Plouézec, Plourivo, Pléhédel and Lézardrieux (Côtes-d'Armor).

Appointments can be made at pharmacies.

The device was imagined on a temporary basis thanks to the participation of hospital doctors and retired practitioners.

He benefited from an exemption from the local Regional Health Agency (ARS) pending the opening of a health center in the near future.
