On May 24, the Bonhams auction center in Hong Kong held a media preview event for the focus of Chinese antique art.

Among them, the lead lot is a pair of blue-and-white candlesticks from the Yongle official kiln in the Ming Dynasty. It is a museum-level collection and is estimated to be between HK$15 million and HK$25 million.

Tang Ye, an expert from the Chinese Antique Art Department of Bonhams Hong Kong, introduced that there are only six examples of the Ming Dynasty Yongle blue-and-white candlestick with twined branches and flowers. Four examples have been collected by museums. The Idemitsu Museum of Art in Japan accepts one each.

This lot is one of only two known to exist in a private collection, and the only complete pair of them.
