According to the Hokkaido Police Headquarters, on the evening of the 24th, in the meeting room of a police facility in Atsubetsu-ku, Sapporo, a sergeant in his thirties who belongs to the highway traffic police corps confirms the shooting action and posture without using live ammunition. When I participated in the training, I accidentally fired one live pistol.



No one was injured because the bullet pierced the wall of the conference room and hit the wall of the corridor and stopped.



"He forgot to pull the live ammunition from his pistol," the sergeant explained to an internal investigation.



In addition, three people, including the sergeant, participated in the training, but it was originally conducted without a person in charge of the inspector or higher who should be present.



The Hokkaido Prefectural Police Headquarters is investigating the details of the situation by listening to the sergeants and others with a view to suspicion of violating the Firearms and Swords Act.
