Are we alone in the universe ?

Could life have emerged elsewhere, on one of these innumerable exoplanets, each more fantastic than the next?

When science goes beyond science fiction... (Rebroadcast from 06/23/21).

Do we wonder about life in the Universe?

Are we alone?

Or, is there somewhere else, beyond our solar system, other forms of extraterrestrial life?

Other Earth-like planets that could or could have hosted life?

The discovery of thousands of exoplanets, over the past thirty years, has renewed this nagging question of our humanity... Except that for the time being and to our knowledge, our little blue planet, this tiny point in the interstellar immensity, is the only one to harbor life.

This does not prevent astrophysicists, astrobiologists and astrochemists from looking... on Mars, on Titan and well beyond, for other forms of life.

A quest as sidereal as it is staggering...
