In the early days, Ejina was an oasis of beautiful grass and fertilizer, and Populus euphratica into forests. However, due to the destruction of various reasons, the ecology here gradually deteriorated.

In Ejina Banner, there is such a family. For seven years, they insisted on irrigating every grass and tree in Gacha (Gacha, Mongolian, meaning village), and guarded their hometown with both hands.

"There is a wind every year, from spring to winter. In the past, there was a lot of wind and sand here, and the crops didn't grow well." Lu Xueshuang worked as a substitute teacher in a rural primary school in Jinta County, Gansu Province in his early years, and then his family moved to Ejina Qizhu Si Leng Tao came to Gacha (the current amount is very Chagan Gacha).

In 2003, Lu Xueshuang began to serve as Gachada (equivalent to the village director) and retired in 2013.

After 10 years of Gachada experience, Lu Xueshuang has personally felt how a good ecological environment has a great impact on the life of a party and the development of a region.

Alxa League has harsh natural conditions. The annual evaporation is nearly 100 times the rainfall. It is one of the most water-deficient areas in my country, and it is also the area with the most deserts and the most serious desertification in Inner Mongolia.

In recent years, through a series of measures such as centralized water transfer, zonal irrigation, returning farmland to forest and grassland, enclosing and prohibiting grazing, comprehensively implementing a balance of grass and livestock, grassland ecological rewards and subsidies, and artificial afforestation, the environment in Ejina has become better and better. More and more green.

Ezhenchagan Gacha, where Lu Xueshuang's family is located, is adjacent to the red education bases such as the former site of the party and government organs of Ejina Banner and Dongfeng Aerospace City.

In recent years, more and more tourists have come here, which allows local farmers and herdsmen to see business opportunities, relying on the red revolutionary base to develop farmhouses and pastoral tours.

However, although there are more and more green plants in Gacha, the local climate is dry and rainy, and watering and irrigation have become a problem.

"Many trees are planted on both sides of the road and in front of the Gacha activity room, but if they are not watered or pruned in time, these trees will not only grow badly, but even die." Lu Xueshuang said.

To this end, Lu Xueshuang and his wife took the initiative to undertake the task, responsible for the management and watering of the green belt in the Gacha concentration area.

At the same time, Lu Xueshuang also devoted himself to studying the growth laws of various plants in saline-alkali areas, and found suitable trees and flowers for local growth.

Lu Xueshuang admitted that it is not easy to manage these trees, especially when the weather is hot.

"You can't water at high temperatures. If you water too much, the tree will be suffocated. To manage these trees, it is critical to adjust the temperature before watering."

Because he often wears water boots to work in the ditch, in June 2020, Lu Xueshuang started to suffer severe pain in his knees and knees. His knees were severely damaged and he had to retire from work.

His wife, Yu Jinmei, accompanied her husband to seek medical treatment. Although the pain was temporarily relieved by means of drugs and heat-baked physiotherapy, Lu Xueshuang's knee still suffered from a life-long disease.

"Never regret it, life is very short, you have to do something meaningful." Lu Xueshuang said.

Under the words and deeds of Lu Xueshuang and his wife, now the eldest daughter Lu Xina has returned home without hesitation, took over the baton from her father, and embarked on the road of improving the ecological environment.

"I have been influenced by my parents since I was a child. While I am proud of the development of my hometown, I also want to do my part." Lu Xina said.

Under the leadership of Lu Xueshuang and his wife, farmers and herdsmen around Gacha also participated in the improvement of the rural environment and the greening of Gacha.

Over the years, they have watered a total of 13,000 trees, and the greening area has reached 340 mu.

"Only when the countryside is beautiful can industries prosper and farmers and herdsmen become prosperous." Lu Xueshuang said that nowadays, the government, social groups, and countless people like themselves, with their little efforts, bring together a little green vitality, as if Like a spark, it spread across the vast land of Ejina.

A week ago, the All-China Women's Federation commended 997 national five-good families, 200 national advanced family work collectives, 198 national advanced family work individuals, and announced 997 national most beautiful families.

In the list of the most beautiful families in the country, Lu Xueshuang's family ranks among them.
