The Minister of Culture and Youth, Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, affirmed that the UAE is keen to promote culture as an essential axis in the comprehensive and sustainable development in the country, to promote the values of coexistence and humanitarian cooperation, and to activate dialogue and cooperation with various countries and governments in the world.
This came during a meeting with the Minister of Culture and Youth, a delegation comprising members of the Advisory Board of the Center for Public Policy for the Middle East at the American "Rand" Corporation, headed by the Foundation's Director and CEO Michael Rich.
At the beginning of the meeting, Noura Al Kaabi stressed the importance of strengthening channels of dialogue and cooperation to consolidate peace and tolerance as common human values in the region and the world, especially in the cultural field, due to its effective role in building trust between peoples and societies, and charting a better future for future generations.
She pointed to the importance of the Abrahamic Peace Agreement, and its role in opening wider horizons for achieving peace in the region, and taking advantage of the opportunities available to achieve development and sustainable development for peoples, an approach that the UAE believes in and is pursuing with the support of its leadership.
During the meeting, the Minister of Culture and Youth discussed the cultural development efforts in the country, in addition to the most important initiatives that support the development of the cultural sector.
She reviewed the strategy of the cultural and creative industries that the Ministry of Culture and Youth is working to develop in order to enhance the contribution of the creative economy to the economic system, and aspects of regional and international cooperation in the cultural and creative sector.
