According to police, at around 4:30 pm on the 23rd, an elementary school student living nearby found a baby crying in a parking lot in a residential area in Inage Ward, Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture, and his mother called 110.
Police confirmed that the baby was a newborn baby with an umbilical cord, wearing a diaper and wrapped in a blanket on the ground.
She said the baby was taken to the hospital by ambulance, but she was conscious and her life was not different.
Police are looking for the whereabouts of the person who left the baby behind, such as by analyzing nearby security cameras.
