An Egyptian court sentenced a woman to 15 years in prison, after she threw her infant daughter into the Nile from the Qasr al-Nil Bridge, and attempted to throw her second child, in retaliation for her ex-husband.

The woman was stripped of her feelings of humanity and motherhood, when she decided to get rid of her two helpless daughters out of revenge against her divorced father of the two girls.

According to "The Seventh Day".

In order to take revenge, she decided and executed, and one of them threw “the little one into the Nile River to drown, and when she tried to throw the second one, her clothes clashed with the bridge fence and the citizens ran to save her. They arrested the woman and handed her over to the police.”

The woman took her youngest daughter of two years, and the eldest of eight years, to Cairo Governorate and in the Nile River she threw the youngest child, so she died and then quickly threw the second child in the same way, but the divine providence saved her after being attached to the iron bridge bracelet and her mother’s head cover “the veil”, and when watching Citizens passing the scene, some of them rushed towards the girl and rescued her.

The accused confessed that she had committed the incident in retaliation against her ex-husband for not spending on her and her children, so she decided to get rid of them and her life in the Nile.
